Journey from Hyderabad to Tirupati and Beyond
Tirupati, our journey began in Hyderabad, where we booked a ticket to Tirupati. The ticket cost approximately ₹475. After a long but scenic 14-hour journey, we finally arrived. Feeling hungry, we grabbed a hearty breakfast to fuel our day. Since our trip was a spontaneous plan and we didn’t have tickets for the famous Balaji Darshan, we decided to spend the day exploring the city and its local temples.
Day 1: Exploring Tirupati
The first day was dedicated to wandering around Tirupati, a city known for its spiritual ambiance and numerous temples. While we couldn’t secure tickets for the TirupatiBalaji Darshan on such short notice, we enjoyed visiting several local temples, each with its unique charm and history.
Day 2: The Tirupati Darshan Challenge

The trek to the top was challenging but rewarding. We took a much-needed break at Kalapam, a rest stop where we had a quick breakfast. At this point, you must register your Darshan ticket, confirming that you’ve climbed the stairs.
Once registered, we proceeded to the waiting area, where you must submit your belongings. Then, it’s a matter of waiting for your turn, which can take several hours. In our case, it took around 8 to 9 hours before we could finally have the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
The experience of the Darshan was spiritually fulfilling. The moment you get a glimpse of the deity, all the fatigue from the journey and waiting vanishes. The divine energy and the serene environment make it a memorable experience.
**Returning to Tirupati and Heading to Kolhapur**
After completing the Darshan, we returned from Tirumala to Tirupati. Although tired, we were filled with a sense of accomplishment and spiritual contentment. From Tirupati, we embarked on the next leg of our journey to Kolhapur.
Kolhapur, another spiritual hub, is renowned for the Mahalakshmi Temple. After arriving in Kolhapur, we headed straight to the temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The temple, with its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, provided another deeply spiritual experience.
